Publication Ethics

The Journal of Socio-Economic Community Service (Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Sosial Ekonomi) is committed to maintaining high ethical standards of scientific publication based on the principles of academic integrity, professionalism, and transparency in the entire journal publishing process. All parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, and authors are required to comply with scientific publication ethics.

 

Duties of Authors

The author must:

  1. Delivering articles that are original and have never been published.
  2. Ensure that the data and information presented are accurate and accountable.
  3. Do not commit plagiarism, fabrication, manipulation, or duplication of publications.
  4. Include the reference sources correctly and completely.
  5. Include all parties who contribute as authors.
  6. Disclose conflicts of interest if any.
  7. Willing to revise according to the input of editors and reviewers.

 

Duties of Editors

The editor is responsible for:

  1. Determine articles that are worth publishing based on academic quality.
  2. Maintain the confidentiality of the identity of the author and reviewer.
  3. Conduct an objective evaluation of the manuscript without discrimination.
  4. Avoid conflicts of interest in the editorial process.
  5. Ensure the review process is fair, professional, and transparent.

 

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewer Mandatory:

  1. Provide an objective, constructive, and timely assessment.
  2. Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript being reviewed.
  3. Provide academic input to improve the quality of articles.
  4. Identify indications of plagiarism or publication ethics violations.
  5. Refuse to review if there is a conflict of interest.

 

Plagiarism Policy

Each article will be checked using a plagiarism detection device. Articles that indicate plagiarism, data manipulation, or publication ethics violations will be rejected.

 

Publication Decisions

The decision to publish articles is entirely the authority of the editor based on the results of reviews and journal quality standards.

 

Ethical Oversight

Community service activities involving individuals, communities, or institutions must pay attention to ethical principles, the consent of related parties, and not harm the community.

 

Copyright and Access

The author retains the copyright to the published article. The journal provides open access so that the results of service can be widely used by the community, academics, and practitioners.
