Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Socio-Economic Community Service (Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Sosial Ekonomi) upholds academic integrity and is committed to preventing all forms of plagiarism in the scientific publication process.

All submitted articles will be checked using a plagiarism detection device before entering the review stage. The article must be the author's original work and has not been published or is being processed in another journal.

 

Unauthorized Forms of Plagiarism

The journal does not accept articles containing:

  1. Copying someone else's work without citing the source
  2. Use of ideas, data, or opinions without appropriate citations
  3. Self-plagiarism or double publication
  4. Paraphrasing without attribution of sources
  5. Data fabrication and manipulation
  6. Partial or complete duplication of publications

 

Similarity Check

Articles will be checked using plagiarism checker applications such as:

  1. Turnitin
  2. iThenticate
  3. Grammarly Plagiarism Checker
  4. or other similar devices

The maximum limit of similarity index allowed is:

  1. Maksimal 20% total similarity
  2. It is not allowed to have high similarity in one particular source

Articles that exceed the similarity limit can:

  1. Returned for revision
  2. Rejected by the editor
  3. Withdrawn from the publication process

 

Author's Responsibilities

The author is obliged to ensure that:

  1. The article submitted is an original work
  2. All citations and references are listed correctly
  3. Not committing copyright infringement
  4. All data and information are valid and accountable

 

Action against Violations

If indications of plagiarism are found before or after publication, the editor reserves the right to:

  1. Dismiss an article
  2. Unpublish an article
  3. Deleting an article from a journal website
  4. Inform the institution of violations when necessary

The journal is committed to maintaining the quality of honest, ethical, and professional scientific publications in accordance with international academic ethical standards.
